A Travel Update

It's time to book tickets!

Train tickets are pretty much book-able from now (some next week)... although beware of high prices. There are a few things you can do to make your journey cheaper:

1) Book at the right time: Some recommend 12 weeks in advance for the cheapest fares. In reality 10-11 weeks can be a lot cheaper.

2) Search for the cheapest fares: http://www.thetrainline.com/farefinder/

3) Use group discounts: http://www.eastcoast.co.uk/3plus - this can save you 1/3 off the ticket price when you travel as a trio or more

4) Opt for the coach: ttp://coach.nationalexpress.com/ (Under £50 return at the moment)

5) Or the bus: http://megabus.com/ - not the most comfortable mode of travel, but there are currently £1 fares to Edinburgh... just hop on a connecting train to Perth or arrange a pick up from a fellow guest!

6) Fly to Glasgow or Edinburgh with http://www.easyjet.com for under £80

Hope this is helpful! Don't be caught out by leaving it too late!

Cheers
Daisy
