Only a few days to go...

We have all been very busy at Finch Cottage making bunting, garlands, labels and signs... It's going to be a very crafty and colourful wedding! Jio and Heather (our little sisters) have come up a week early to help prepare for the big do. It's great to have an enthusiastic team of helpers :-)

Yesterday the bridesmaids tried on their complete outfits yesterday and they looked stunning. In fact, it made me feel very emotional... all the long hours of pondering, planning, sketching and shopping has resulted in a unique and pretty ensemble that really compliments the girls.

Here is a rough schedule for the weekend...

Friday:

AM/early PM - guests start to arrive
Decorate the barn
Light a bonfire
Bake potatoes in the fire
Catch up with each other/meet new friends

Saturday:

AM - Breakfast/brunch served in the Lodge kitchen
14:30 - Wedding ceremony
15:30 - Toasts, nibbles and photos
17:00 - Buffet
19:00 - 23:00 - Reception in the barn
23:00 - Late - Music around the fire

Sunday:

Guests leave before midday
Daisy, Rory & Co pack up and leave site

Just a reminder to bring supplies... and a bottle for the ceremony :-)

Cheers everyone

Gift list...

Us again...

A few people have asked about gift lists... We have one at NewGiftRegistry (http://www.newgiftregistry.com/registry/view/294615047/Rory-Daisys-Wedding)

We are more interested in your presence than your presents! But it you must... :-)

Less than 2 weeks to go...

EEEeeek!

We are very excited about our upcoming wedding! We hope our guests are excited too :-)

Just a few things to mention/remind about before the wedding takes place:

- Remember to pack some waterproofs and sensible shoes in case it rains... we will be deep in the countryside.

- Pack musical instruments (even a kazoo will do) for tipsy gatherings around the fire :-)

- We have bought in a lot of wine (and will buy in some beer soon) but we ask if you could PLEASE bring a bottle(s) or some beers to add to the pile... We would rather this than hire in an expensive bar.

- Bring some food/snacks for Friday... it is self-catering. We will provide everything for the Saturday and will most likely have leftovers/spare food for Sunday morning.

- Bring some insect repellent... midges aren't likely to be bad during the wedding (starting to die off around August) but you never know!

- Please remember to pay for your accommodation... £15 pp per night for beds/£9 pp per night for tent pitches. Contact Anne Shepperd or myself to sort payment.

- Dogs welcome on site, if kept on a lead (there are chickens and rabbits).

Can't wait to see you all there!

Love Daisy & Rory xxx
