Sleepy times
Just a quick post to let you all know about accommodation at Comrie Croft:
Basically there are two options:
1) Camping in your own tent by reserving a pitch with us (£9 per person per night)
2) Bunkhouse accommodation (£15 per person per night), sleeping in shared rooms on funky, comfy bunkbeds (some lower bunks are double). Rooms sleep 3 - 8 and I have run out of 3 bed rooms as I have had to prioritise elderly relatives and those with young children. I won't put you in rooms with strangers automatically and will discuss options with you prior to the Big Day! The rooms are very cheerful with comfortable beds, mirrors, plug sockets and en-suite bathrooms.
***PLAN B***
If none of this is to your taste, then there are local hotels and B&B's, such as:
The Royal Hotel: http://www.royalhotel.co.uk/
The Comrie Hotel: http://www.comriehotel.co.uk/
B&B Info: http://www.comrie.org.uk/business-accomodation/holiday-accomodation/drumearn-cottage.html
Plus plenty of places in Crieff, which is larger... http://www.booking.com/searchresults.en-us.html?aid=303948;label=crieff-8mVeJKe_KnEITITnz7yfmwS8395069341;sid=809c53308359ea5ef33460db656bb167;dcid=1;city=-2593624;redirected_from_city=1;src=city

Travel information - book soon for cheap deals!
Hello everyone,
There are 17 weeks left til the wedding, and it will soon be time to book your travel to the wedding (for those of you coming up from London/South)... and it is cheaper to book in advance, if coming by train especially.
Here are some helpful links for you:
The Sleeper train from London to Perth is as cheap as £19 each way (apparently) if booked in advance. You can book up to three months in advance (so next month, eeeeek). Here is the link: http://www.scotrail.co.uk/caledoniansleeper/index.html
... Best to travel to Perth as there is a handy bus service that stops outside the campsite (as to be let off at Comrie Croft). The bus is the no. 15... here is the timetable: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/PdfUploads/Timetable_23536_15%20Perth%20.pdf
Flights can be purchased from Easyjet to Edinburgh/Glasgow for about £40 each way (at the moment) exclusive of taxes at: http://www.easyjet.com/EN
Here is a Google Map of the site: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=comrie+croft&ll=56.38488,-3.940315&spn=0.014469,0.038581&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=comrie+croft&cid=0,0,369703433963019530&t=h&z=15&iwloc=A
There may be folk driving (even just part of the way), so you may want to post a comment if you would like to litfshare.
Please get in touch if you would like any more info,
Cheers

Fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood and stuff
Friday 17th August:
- Guests will be arriving from midday-ish onwards
- There will be lots of barn decorating... mingling and probably a few drinks (I'd wager)
- Food-and-drink-wise, will most likely be self-catering. I may be armed with a sack of potatoes but don't be expecting much more than a hug, kiss and raw potato (there will be fires in which to bake them on-site)
*BY THE WAY: there is a shop which sells basic foods (which seems to include ice-cream) at the campsite*
Saturday 18th August:
- There will be more commotion in the morning... excitement, I assume... arranging of tables and chairs
- Some sort of communal breakfasty/brunch thing provided by the wedding party
- Ceremony kicks off at 2 ish
- Big meal provided in pm
- Party time!
Sunday 19th August:
- Self-service again
- Tidying up and clearing off by midday
Hope this info is helpful for planning etc... email me if you need any further details :-)

Major wedding stress
A million and one things to do and so little time...
I've had insomnia for the past week or so, because every time I try to sleep I end up with wedding preparation thoughts. Very nice thoughts, of course, but not helping me sleep! Grrr.
If anyone reading this is thinking of having a wedding - ELOPE!
On a plus note, I am in possession of a trampo-mo-line, which I have learnt is going to bestow upon me - a six-pack. Hahahaha! Yeah right. I'll probably do my back in or break my arm.
Anyway, must stop waffling on as this isn't very romantic wedding-speak.
Peace out, people
